A&K M249 “Modern” SAW

Accuracy thru Volume

LMG’s are heavy, this one is not. It started life as a boneyard A&K M249 Para, but with advanced technology is now a modern lightweight take on an old workhorse.

First completely stripped down, the body was then rebuilt, bipod and carry handle removed, and updated using parts from Bullcraft Industries. This included a new Handguard and upper rail, a new outer barrel, collapsable stock buffer tube and a very ergonomic and comfortable pistol grip, all designed and printed to reduce weight significantly and increase ergonomics.

The gear box was then rebuilt using a Bullgear CNC shell, Solink gears and brushless motor and a full compliment of Lonex compression parts giving it a steady ROF of 27rps complimented by a Bullgear box mag that keeps up by feeding bb’s without a hitch.  Using multiple spring options, the operator has the choice between, 1.3J, 1.5J and 1.8J depending on field or event regulations.

The result is a lighter weight more modern version of a SAW that can be carried my the machine gunner over a greater distance and a longer period of time with reduced fatigue.  Perfect for a milsim.
